With your help the boy's family received several parcels with parenteral nutrition and Matvey started to gain weight. Thank you for supporting the collection, we believe that one day the boy will overcome the disease and will be able to eat like all normal children.
The boy has a short intestine syndrome, ordinary food is not digested, so Matvey is tied to a drip for 16 hours. Through it, nutrient solutions enter the child's body. The mother connects her son through a central venous catheter to the system in the evening and every day thanks all those who responded to her call for help.
"Every parcel is a reassurance that my son will be well-fed, he will have energy to play, laugh, cuddle. Every 200 grams of weight gained in a month is a success"- shares Elena, the boy's mother.
Matvey is underweight, but very mobile child. In the morning he wakes up and rather runs to wake up his twin brother and four older sisters.
“He does not yet realize that he is connected to the drip, I only have time to catch him!” - Elena says.
Her attention has been on Matvey every minute since he was born. Her biggest dream is for her son to start eating on his own and spend less time on the drip. Doctors have given Lena a diet for her son to start cutting back on his nutrition through a vein. But Matvey resists.
“We give him gluten-free pasta, pollock, soups, porridge,” Elena lists. - He swallows something without chewing, something spits out. He's not really interested in food yet."
Lena doesn't give up. She knows it's possible to teach a child's intestines to work properly. It just takes time. We believe that soon Matvey will be able to eat like all normal children!
Thank you, tubers for supporting the Serebryakov family!
