Lera has spina bifida and needs to get treatment!

Lera was born with a congenital spinal malformation - spina bifida. She underwent more than one operation and spent a lot of time in hospitals. The disease spina bifida was announced to the parents at 19 weeks. The decision to continue the pregnancy future mom and dad took almost without thinking. Lerochka loves to walk and ride on her active stroller, dreams of having a dog and start walking so that she can run with her favorite pet.

Lera is developing like a normal child, in some moments it seems that she is even ahead of her peers. She has come a long way in treating the consequences of the malformation and every time it is her victory over the disease. Lera already understands a lot of things and tries to help her parents both in everyday life and in medical procedures.

Now the little girl needs to undergo a “Spina Bifida” consultation in the Research Institute of Pediatrics named after Veltischev. Veltischev, where the girl will be examined by specialized doctors during 5 days of stay in the department. It is important to undergo such examinations in time to prevent secondary complications. The cost of the consilium is quite high and the family cannot afford to pay for such an expensive medical examination.
