Oleg was born in Elista, went to study in Moscow and stayed here to live. He worked at a factory producing underground cars. Later he became involved in low-rise dacha construction. As early as 25 years ago, when taking a routine blood test, Oleg was found to have high haemoglobin and a chronic blood disease, which he was treated for many years at the National Medical Centre of Haematology of the Ministry of Health of Russia. During all the years of treatment Oleg was supported by his wife and daughter. Despite his chronic disease, even after the age of 60 Oleg always led an active lifestyle together with his family. But this year doctors saw a maximum increase in the size of the spleen, conducted an examination and diagnosed myelofibrosis - a rare form of blood cancer.
