Polina is about to turn 2 years old and all this time the little girl has been struggling with a congenital spinal malformation - spina bifida.
Her mom found out about the diagnosis while she was still pregnant and at 24 weeks the unborn baby girl underwent an intrauterine surgery to excise a spinal hernia.
Polina was born much earlier than expected - at 32 weeks. But she showed herself to be a staunch fighter for her health!
