Zlata is a home-schooled student in the 2nd grade. She enjoys studying Maths and English the most at school. She also likes playing the piano and drawing. She attends music and art classes. Zlata loves spending time at her grandparents' house, where she helps them to take care of their pets like chickens, geese, a dog called Malysh, and a cat called Persik.
In September 2021, Zlata began experiencing severe headaches accompanied by nausea and vomiting. A neurologist referred her for an MRI scan, which revealed a brain tumor. She underwent neurosurgery for a partial tumor removal and was placed under dynamic observation. Unfortunately, 2.5 years later, Zlata's headaches and vomiting returned. The examination showed continued growth of the tumor. The fight against the disease had to be continued.
Based on the results of molecular genetic studies, the doctors have identified a targeted therapy drug that specifically targets the tumor cells while sparing healthy cells.
