Dima has childhood autism. Thanks to systematic studies and comprehensive development, Dima has a positive dynamic in development. He has partially developed self-service skills, made eye contact and pointing gestures, and learned to communicate using alternative PECS communication.
During his intensive classes in applied behavior analysis, Dima's understanding of spoken language improved. The boy became more diligent and concentrated. The child began to actively develop visual perception – comparing identical and non-identical images, sorting by color. Thanks to his work with a speech therapist, Dima developed onomatopoeia, he learned to pronounce vowel sounds clearly.
During his classes with an adaptive physical education instructor, Dima mastered the treadmill, elliptical trainer, and stationary bike. He now stands confidently on a balance beam, performs exercises with a ball, a gymnastic stick, a hoop, jumps over barriers, and even completes an obstacle course.
Additionally, he has begun emulating certain gross and fine motor movements. In his sensory integration classes, the specialist focused on developing his perception of objects (taste, color, and smell), as well as working with grains, large objects, and small objects.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the rehabilitation course for Dima!
