SOS Children's Villages Russia is a non-profit charitable organization that has been helping children and their parents since 1994 in 15 regions of Russia. The key areas of the organization's work include supporting families in crisis situations when children are at risk of losing parental care, helping children without parental care, supporting foster families who live in SOS Children's Villages and in local communities, as well as supporting young people in foster and residential care as they transition to adulthood. The organization believes that every child should grow up in a loving family in an atmosphere of trust, care, respect and safety. Over its work, more than 32,000 children from 23,240 families have received help from specialists. 93% of families were able to overcome the crisis and keep their children in the family. In six SOS Children's Villages, foster families raise orphans and children without parental care.
