Nastya used to do taekwondo and dreamed of making the Olympic reserve team. But a routine ECG showed a dangerous prolongation of the QT interval, and she had to say goodbye to sport. Then her dream of becoming a flight attendant fell apart too: her heart would not withstand the pressure changes. Nastya withdrew into herself, and soon frightening attacks of arrhythmia began — several times a week.
For her to live in peace and make plans, doctors need to understand the nature of the attacks and decide whether she needs a pacemaker. For that, Nastya urgently needs a subcutaneous cardiac monitor.
