Sarah is 8 years old, she has delayed speech development and an autism spectrum disorder. After two years, the girl had a developmental setback, she stopped looking into her eyes and responding to her name.
The behavioral analyst taught Sarah to follow instructions with the subject – "drink from a cup," "comb your hair," "wipe your hands," "knock with a hammer," etc. The girl successfully completed the task. Sarah also learned how to follow simple instructions such as "clap", "show your nose". Sarah learned to distinguish between 4 stimuli (banana, apple, chocolate and bubbles). There is a positive trend in the development of the girl's visual skills, now she can compare 4 pairs of cards according to the associative series.
After classes with a sensory integration specialist and an adaptive physical education instructor, Sarah learned how to keep her balance, follow instructions with an object (hoop, ball, cones, skipping rope), and even several instructions at the same time. Sarah also now knows how to climb stairs, jump over barriers and much more. The girl's large and small motor skills have improved, she has become more confident in space.
Thanks to your help, Sarah has completed 2 intensive rehabilitation courses in her hometown! Thanks!
