Adam has atypical autism and mental retardation. By the age of 2, there was no speech or eye contact, the boy did not pay attention to other children.
As part of this course, Adam was introduced the alternative communication system "PECS", thanks to which, with the help of special cards, the child can express his desires and needs. The boy began to cooperate better with teachers, the number of manifestations of undesirable behavior and tantrums decreased. Work was also underway on Adam's motor simulation and visual skills.
The child learned to independently follow simple instructions with and without objects, sort objects by category, and distinguish between primary colors. Adam worked with an adaptive physical education instructor to improve sensory-motor skills and develop physical skills. The boy learned to keep his balance, throw and catch a ball, jump over barriers and even ride a bike!
In addition to classes, Adam underwent a course of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The use of hardware procedures during the intensive rehabilitation course certainly gave an impetus to the improvement of the boy's cognitive, speech and mental functions.
You are the best! Thank you all for Adam's support!
