Safiya is almost 9 years old. After a year, she stopped making eye contact, didn't respond to names, and had no pointing gesture. The neurologist diagnosed delayed speech development with autistic behavior and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Thanks to the well-coordinated work of specialists during the intensive rehabilitation course, Safiya gained a positive dynamic in the development of her academic and physical skills. A new stage of the alternative communication system was introduced to the girl using special PECS cards, now she can request motivational items using the card.
The specialists also focused on motor imitation and independent execution of instructions with and without a subject, and actively worked to improve the visual skills and behavior of the listener. After completing the course, Safiya learned to keep her balance better, jump and run unsupported, pass an obstacle course, and perform exercises with objects, even while standing on a balance beam.
During the rehabilitation, the girl also underwent a course of therapy using the Tomatis method. The use of hardware techniques had a beneficial effect on the child's attention, reaction and speed of thinking. Safiya's understanding of spoken language has improved significantly, she has become more calm and diligent, and the number of manifestations of undesirable behavior has decreased.
Thanks to your help, Safiya has completed an intensive training course! Thanks!
