Camilla has speech retardation and an autism spectrum disorder. By the time she was a year old, the girl did not respond to her name or look into her eyes, lined up toys in a row, and was selective in her food.
Thanks to the rehabilitation course, Camilla has learned to show two nouns connected by association (for example: brush and paste) in a selection of 8 on the table. The girl also learned how to show objects in a selection of 6 on the table, answering the question "WITH WHAT?" ("what do we brush our teeth with?", the child points to the toothbrush).
The sensory integration specialist has worked on tactile, visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive systems. Camilla can now touch and find objects with the help of a magic pouch. In classes with an adaptive sports instructor, the girl mastered a treadmill, an elliptical trainer, and learned how to ride roller skates and a gyro scooter. Camilla confidently stands on a balance beam, performs exercises with a ball, a gymnastic stick, jumps over barriers.
Also, as part of this intensive rehabilitation course, Camilla underwent hardware treatment - a course of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and a course of correction using the Tomatis method. These procedures have contributed to the improvement of the girl's mental and physical condition, she has improved communication skills and positive dynamics in understanding spoken language.
