Muhammad has a genetic disorder and needs skin and bandage treatments

Muhammad is 3.5 years old. By the time he was two months old, burn-like blisters began appearing on his body. Doctors diagnosed him with epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a rare condition that significantly weakens the skin's elasticity. Any mechanical impact—even friction from diapers—can cause injury. These patients are called "butterfly babies." EB is caused by a genetic mutation. Sometimes it is inherited, and sometimes it occurs spontaneously during fetal development, so a "butterfly baby" can be born into any family. On average, one such baby is born in approximately 50,000 newborns. Medicine cannot yet cure EB, but it can significantly alleviate the condition. When the blisters and sores become numerous, Muhammad finds it painful even to walk and play. To ensure his skin heals and is less prone to injury, he requires regular dressings and special skin care products. Regular bandages aren't suitable here – a whole range of atraumatic materials is needed, the same kind used to treat burn patients. Bandages and bandages are expensive, and Muhammad needs them constantly. The Butterfly Children Foundation asks you to support a collection for bandages for the little one, so he can live the life of a normal three-year-old – playing, moving, and growing pain-free.
