Frey needs genetic testing to determine the cause of his developmental delay

Freya and her brother Eton are twins. The children share similar symptoms: developmental delays, difficulties with speech and motor skills, and skills that develop slowly and may disappear. Freya has only recently started smiling again and walking confidently, but every step comes with great difficulty and requires constant practice.

Despite regular rehabilitation and work with specialists, doctors still cannot pinpoint the exact cause of the children’s condition. Basic tests have not provided an answer. Now, a geneticist has recommended that Freya undergo whole-genome sequencing—a test that will help identify possible genetic disorders and determine a more precise treatment plan.
