Important genetic diagnostics for Radmila and other patients with immune disorders

Radmila is 15 years old. Until the age of ten, she was an ordinary, active girl — she went swimming, took dance and volleyball lessons, and did track and field. She studied, made friends, and made plans. But then the illnesses began. Ten to fifteen times a year, Radmila would develop a fever above 40°C (104°F), along with headaches, stomach pain, joint and muscle pain, hives, and angioedema. She had to give up sports, miss school, and face each new day in fear of another attack. Doctors suspected Radmila had a rare genetic disorder of the immune system. To make an accurate diagnosis and prescribe the right, effective, and safe treatment, she needed to undergo an expensive genetic test — full exome sequencing. Fortunately, our Foundation covered the cost of this test for Radmila. Now we are raising funds to conduct genetic testing for other patients of the Foundation. For each of them, an accurate diagnosis is a chance to return to a normal life, to school, and to the things that once brought them joy. Please support our fundraiser!
