Maryam underwent an intensive rehabilitation course in Astrakhan!

5-year-old Maryam has autism spectrum disorder. The girl does not speak, does not understand the addressed speech, there is no visual contact. Maryam also has weak muscles, she walks badly and gets tired quickly. Thanks to classes with an adaptive sports instructor, Maryam mastered the treadmill, learned to jump, play with a ball, ride a scooter and a gyro scooter. After working with a behavioral analyst, Maryam mastered the first stage of requests, using PECS alternative communication cards. I learned to compare identical and non-identical objects and images, shapes and colors, to distinguish motivational stimuli. Work was carried out to improve the behavior of the listener, an index gesture was formed. Now the girl can express her desires, and her parents understand her better, thanks to this, Maryam has become calmer, visual contact has improved, an understanding of the reversed speech has appeared. At the beginning of the rehabilitation course, Maryam showed a decrease in muscle-joint sensitivity and muscle tone. A specialist in sensory integration has selected for her a special set of exercises for all types of perception: tactile, visual, olfactory, vestibular. Thanks to this complex, Maryam learned to swing on a swing, playing "ladushki", independently pass obstacle courses, climb stairs. Sensory integration classes contributed to the improvement of Maryam's interaction with the outside world.
