Amal has undergone an intensive rehabilitation course!

Little Amal has autism. The girl speaks only individual words, she has not developed self-service skills, there is no pointing gesture. During the intensive rehabilitation course, Amal has achieved significant success and she has a positive dynamic in her development! With an adaptive sports coach, Amal learned to perform exercises on various simulators – a treadmill, an exercise bike, an elliptical simulator. The girl also learned to jump over barriers, crawl under them, jump on a trampoline, keep her balance on a balance beam. Amal learned how to throw balls correctly, ride a gyro scooter, and mastered roller skates a little. Before the start of the rehabilitation course, Amal spoke in monosyllables, echolalia was present, coherent speech was not formed. Thanks to the neurostimulation performed by a neurologist, Amal's repertoire of articulatory poses expanded, a sense and understanding of the external speech apparatus – cheeks, lips, tongue appeared. The bulk of the girl's active vocabulary consisted of nouns, so the speech therapist expanded the dictionary of verbs and taught her to build phrases from 2 words "noun + verb". Amal speaks the usual words at the usual volume level, and the new ones are almost in a whisper. At the end of the intensive training course, she spoke new words at a normal volume level. The specialist also worked on the understanding of speech, formed the correct perception of the meaning of the question asked and the correct answer to it. Work was also carried out on the consistency of phrasal speech by gender, numbers and cases, the correct use of prepositions and endings. Mom was given recommendations for further speech development and improvement of Amal's communication skills, the formation of her dialogic speech. As a result of intensive classes with a behavioral analyst, Amal learned to sort cards into 10 categories, distinguish objects by functions and characteristics, compare parts of the whole, distinguish two-component instructions, mastered motor simulation. The girl began to name about 40 actions (verbs), and to name objects with two-syllable phrases. In addition, Amal learned to follow the order in games, compare objects by association, became more diligent and sociable.
