5-year–old Sumaya has many disappointing diagnoses - a disorder of psycho-speech development with behavioral disorders, reduced muscle tone of the limbs, flat-hallux valgus feet. Because of this, the girl's coordination and motor skills suffer, she cannot speak, eat and dress on her own.
Sumaya worked with an adaptive physical education instructor and a sensory integration specialist to improve her sensory-motor skills. The girl learned to keep her balance, throw and catch a ball, jump, ride a scooter and a gyro scooter, her large and small motor skills have improved significantly, and the capture of objects.
In classes with a behavioral analyst, the girl began to cooperate better, undesirable behavior decreased. In addition, work was carried out on improving motor imitation and developing visual skills. Sumaya learned to independently follow simple instructions with and without objects, sort objects, distinguish basic shapes and colors. Work has begun on the formation of self-service skills, the ability to drink from a cup and hold a spoon independently. Also, the girl's understanding of speech has improved, she has learned to sit quietly in class, perform specialist tasks.
