Foundation Moscow

In the near future, Abdullakh from Ingushetia will have a second liver transplant. Unfortunately, the first one was unsuccessful. Even though the transplant was related, the organ did not take root. For several months now the boy has been on the waiting list for a donor liver at the Shumakov Center. The doctor on duty may call with an invitation to come to the surgery at any time of the day or night, so the child must live in Moscow, within two hours' transport distance of the Center. How long the wait will last is unknown. Abdullakh's family has many children and is very friendly, but his parents have no money to pay for housing in the capital. The Tsechoyevs would like to send their love to all the friends who took part in the collection!

We need help paying for accommodation for Abdullah!

The disease began to manifest itself in Abdullakh at the age of two. Local doctors could not diagnose and prescribe treatment, so mother and son were sent for examination to Moscow, to the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital. At first he was examined by rheumatology specialists, since the boy suddenly stopped walking and his limbs began to deform. Then Abdullah was transferred to the genetics department. After a complete examination, the child was given a disappointing diagnosis: Tyrosinemia, type 1b. This is a rare genetic disorder in which the body is intoxicated with products of tyrosine breakdown, resulting in liver failure and cirrhosis. Unfortunately, Abdullah could not avoid cirrhosis, despite his carefully selected drug therapy. Therefore, in May 2022, he underwent a liver transplant from a related donor, his mother. The operation was successful, but after a while the child began to malfunction in the graft. This is a very dangerous complication. The boy needed a second transplant to save his life. But this time none of his relatives can be a donor, so Abdullah has been put on a waiting list for a donor organ. Now he needs to live close to the clinic so that if he is called, he can get to the hospital within two to three hours for the operation. But no one knows how long the wait will last. It could be a month or two, or two to three years. Abdullakh and his mother now live in a medical worker's home in Moscow, which is within transport distance of the transplant center. The living costs there are lower than in a hotel, but they are still a lot of money for the Tsechoyevs, a family with many children. The parents are bringing up six children, two of whom are handicapped children. With your help, we can pay for the Tsechoyev family to stay in a medical home for three months!
