The Environmental Studio of the Foundation "Liferoute" gives new life to materials that would normally end up ingloriously in a rubbish bin. The Environmental Studio also provides jobs and employment for people with mental disabilities.
We believe and experience ourselves that a person cannot live in idleness and boredom, nor can they live without their craft. Everyone wants to work and create new things. And a person with a disability should be able to work and create new things.
At the moment, 18 clients of the Foundation visit our Eco-Studio. For each of these people, the workshop is an opportunity to work and create.
Unfortunately, we are experiencing a shortage of equipment for the Studio. In order to enable our clients to work fully and at their pleasure, we need to buy a microwave oven, a fusing oven, a sabre cutter, a rack for drying prints, and a sewing machine.
The microwave and fusing oven will be used to melt glass and make new decorations and objects! And a sabre cutter and a print drying rack will help in the production of paper, which the clients give new life to by casting postcards and notebooks from recycled paper. A sewing machine, on the other hand, is needed for upcycling clothes - re-stitching clothes from second hand and making artistic applications.
By supporting our campaign, you will be helping 18 people with mental disabilities to get involved in work and art.
Let's work together to help people with disabilities live fully and independently!
