About the foundation

The “Life Route” Charitable Foundation has been in operation since 2009, and we see our mission in normalising the life course of young people with disabilities. Being one of the few NGOs working to protect the rights of adults with disabilities, the organisation has a special place in the Russian NGO ecosystem, being not only a service-provider but also an educator. We have accumulated a commendable body of best national and international practices, which we regularly share through public events and publications.

At the moment, the Life Route Foundation has 9 programmes, including a supported living programme, 3 supported employment programmes, 3 volunteering groups working with people in closed institutions, 2 day-care initiatives, and one home visits programme, helping to prepare young people with disabilities to live independently.
