When children with a diagnosis of spina bifida become wards of our foundation, active work begins with each one. Specialists come to the child - an occupational therapist or physical therapist. They examine the child, then select the medical equipment that suits him, assess the environment in the apartment and arrange an accessible environment, talk to the parents and give them individual recommendations for the development of the child.

In addition to consultations and home visits to families, specialists do methodological work: they write recommendations for schools and kindergartens, which are visited by children; make individual plans for activities, write reports on the results of classes with children and much more. Such work should also be paid. After all, the quality of visits and, as a result, the recovery process of a child diagnosed with spina bifida depends on the planning of work with children.
