Sarah is 5 years old. At the age of 2, she stopped looking into the eyes, responding to the name and did not begin to speak. Doctors diagnosed a delay in psycho-speech development and autism spectrum disorder.
Sarah, a child with a well-developed vestibular system, tactile and visually hyposensitive, does not feel her body well. A specialist in sensory integration worked with the help of water, foam, semolina saturating the tactile system. A spinner and cereals were used to saturate the visual system. The propriaceptive system was saturated with a sensory bag, a tunnel and a barrel.
In classes with an AVA specialist, the girl learned to sort verbs from two, sort categories from two (for example: clothes and animals). Sarah's skills of distinguishing stimuli improved, she began to distinguish perfectly from the two stimuli on the table. Sarah learned new instructions, such as, "show your ass", "get up", "sit down". The teacher is actively working on the "tact" skill, at the moment he names three stimuli (kiwi, apple, pear) with a hint.
The emphasis in working with Sarah was on reducing the time of performing exercises by reducing stimulation and increasing the speed of performance. To achieve this goal, Sarah worked with catching tennis balls and then throwing them into a container, for greater efficiency, the teacher changed the location of the container. For a long time, the girl could not throw the ball from behind her head, in order to get the desired result, the specialist added jumping elements that had a positive effect.
