Since 2018, the Mercy House of Blacksmith Lobov has been providing medical and social (palliative) assistance to seriously ill adults in the Yaroslavl region. We operate under the "Mercy Ward" program - a small hospice with 20 beds located in the ancient merchant estate of the village of Porechye-Rybnoye. In 2020, we launched the "Hospice at Home" program. Assistance is aimed at families with seriously ill adults in the Yaroslavl region, primarily those living in rural areas.
Every year, over 200 seriously ill individuals receive comprehensive support from the Lobov House team. We alleviate pain symptoms, provide comprehensive support to the sick person and their family, preserving family values and kinship ties. And if there is no family, then the walls of the native house become the Mercy House itself. We strive to ensure that elderly, seriously ill, lonely individuals, as well as those who have lost the ability to self-care, have the opportunity to receive free, high-quality, and professional assistance 24/7.
As a result of the Lobov House's work in 2023, 460 families with seriously ill adults received psychological and social support. 1829 home visits were conducted. 162 medical devices were provided under a gratuitous use agreement. Additionally, the hospice's home care vehicle facilitated 355 transports of seriously ill wards to medical facilities.
